About Me
Hello!
My name is Amber Filkins, of Silver Lining, formerly {ae filkins}.
I'm a stay at home mama to 2 wonderful girls. Maddison is 9, Saylor is 3. I'm married to my best friend, Tahner, who is one of the hardest working, loyal, dedicated men I know.
We lost a little baby that we named Ashten on September 15, 2008. We struggled for nearly a year to get pregnant again. We finally got pregnant in mid August of 2009, but found out that we'd lost the baby on October 14, 2009. We finally got pregnant again in Spring 2010, and lost that baby as well. After months of trying, and medicine tweaks, I am happy to say that we are pregnant and expecting our third baby in August 2011!! I began blogging for many reasons: for personal reflection, social interaction, documentation of our lives, and to keep in touch with family. It has become all of those things, and so much more.
Writing is one of my passions. It has been a goal, since childhood, to author a book. I'm at a point in life where I'm actively experimenting and learning to find my voice as a writer.

Hi there. I ran across your blog through facebook and noticed that your initials were AE. Do you mind me asking you what your middle name is or what the E stands for? I have a daughter and her name is Amber Elizabeth, so I was just wondering what the E stood for.
Amber- while working on my blog, I found yours...I really enjoyed it. My blog, which was originally for my business...turned into a breast cancer fight blog after I was diagnosed after the first of this year.
