Friend Makin Mondays
Welcome everyone! Today I'm excited to be hosting Friend Making Mondays for Kasey from All That Is Good. If you're new, this is what you'll need to do:
- Prepare a post on the topic below.
- In your post, be sure to link back to {ae filkins} so that your readers know where to come if they would like to participate.
- Return to my blog and enter the link of your FMM post in Mr. Linky’s box below. Be sure you are linking to your FMM post ONLY so that if people come later in the week to visit you, they find your FMM post right away.
- Try to visit as many other people who have linked up as possible. That’s the fun of Friend Makin’ Monday!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, this was a lot harder than it seems. I looked around online for a few different ideas I had in mind. None of them were good enough. This was hard!! {Now I know why Kasey decided to have other people host it sometimes} :) So, hopefully you enjoy my take. You may have seen this on Facebook, but I think it's fun.

OK...I was so excited about this weeks "assignment!" I am up piddling because I slept all day, and I am glad I was up to get started. How fun.
your toys are so colorful!!
So cute! My younger sister had some of them :-) I'll need to think about this one...great question!
OMGoodness! I feel like such a dork! I was so busy lastnight and I thought I was going to have to make my own post for FMM.
I had asked you to but then I never heard back from you about it so I didn't know if you were. I got up this morning in a panic to make my post (late of course, because after the day I had yesterday I chose to go to bed lastnight instead.) and just thought "well I'll just pop over there and see if she did it anyway." sure enough, you did!
I should have known you were there for me! Okay I have the link up or you so more will be coming! Sorry I just got it up! Don't hate me!
I have to get around and do some stuff so I'll do my list a little later! Thank you again!!!
Ok, is it strange that my 3 year old will be growing up with a lot of these also...just newer versions?! LOL
As Jen said...a little after my time. Wow, we're old. This was a lot of fun!!!
xoxo ~Lisa
Strawberry Shortcake! YAY!! I was a 1978 girl myself and i LOVED all the things you posted!
Cute topic! I loved it! Thanks for hosting this week!! it will be fun to see what everyone comes up with.

I am right there with you...all those were definitely my favorite. I am going to try to think of some more so that I can join in. :)
How could I have forgot to include carebears on my list?!?! Dang! (I'm a 79 girl too! When is your birthday?)
So, I think I found your twin, and Saylor's too:

Yep, yep, yep, I grew up with these guys. I'm a 1980 girl, see, I knew we had to be about the same age! This looks like a fun one! :) I might have to steal the cabbage patch one. Oh my cabbage patch, she came with me EVERYwhere. Daisy Bernadette, her name was ;)
Oh my gosh, not only are you such a young puppy, but you're such a giiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrl!
:)
Thank you for hosting.
I think I could just write "ditto" at the end of you list and call it good!
Love your toys! These were sooo the toys I grew up with too!
Except I didn't really like cabbage patch kids for some reason!
Okay, Viv, did you SEEE my post about G.I.Joe?? Ha!
Okay, okay, you're right. I WAS such a girlie girl, but I did play with the boys too. I played G.I. Joe, Transformers, micro machines, Garbage Pail Kids,in the dirt, etc.
I can get down & dirty, and all prissy just the same!!
--------------------------------
I forgot SO many toys!
Atari, Pacman, bikes, Hot Wheels!!, Pound Puppies, Popples, Lite Bright, See N Say, Jem & the Holograms, Hugga Bunch, Barbies, jump rope, etc etc etc!!!
Talk about a young one!! I remember buying some of these for my daughter...way to make me feel old...LOL! She loved Rainbow Bright!
Hey Amber! Fun FMM!
I grew up with all your toys too. I had to take a walk down memory lane to come up with different ones. Okay I couldn't pass up the cabbage patch dolls. I loved mine!
Have a great day!
We must be really close in age, those were my favorites too. Great list!
I love your list! It could have been written by me. I love Care Bears. I wish now I had saved all my dolls because they are back in, and the new dolls aren't as plush as I remember mine being.
I love your list and I love Carebears!! My names Carie, so I have been called Carebear all my life :)
As I looked at your toys I knew we must be from the same era! And we are, born same year and all!
i was born the year after you, and loved almost all of the toys on your list! (for some reason, rainbow brite was never one of my favorites...)
great topic for this week's ffm!
have a fabulous day!
WOW - I really miss the days where I could just sit and play all day long! :) Fun theme!
I had posted a similar blog asking about favorite toys.
Strawberry Shortcake was my favorite too!!!
Hey Amber,
Ditzy Rhonda here! I managed to screw up your Mr. Linky not only once, but twice! Don't you just love me!!
Sorry girl! You would think I just started blogging today!
Strawberry Shortcake made my list too. It was so hard to decide what favorites to put on the list. Cabbage Patch Dolls should have probably been on my list too...my mom would definitely think so after all the money she spent on them and waiting in crazy long lines to buy them!
Hope you have a great week!
Thanks for the fun! I really had a hard time choosing only five. Fun theme.
I really should jump on this bandwagon! FMM looks like so much fun.
I was born in 1980 so could totally relate to everything you posted...except I grew up with two younger brothers and prefered the boy toys lol.
Loved your list. I had all of those too!! Oh the memories!! Fun topic. Thanks and have a great week!
Too, too fun Amber...great topic, I think I need to go play Barbies now!!! All the things you have I had too, loved them!
That was a fun list to make! Thanks!!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I love Strawberry Shortcake, too!
How fun! This is my first week posting for FMM and I can't wait to surf some blogs!
This isn't looking good for my work day tomorrow! :)

I love strawberry shortcake! I have a pillow case that I just can't get rid of!!!
Great topic, Amber! I am a little older than you, so I was on the tail end of most of these! I do love the Care Bears, though! My sister's name is Carie, and I always call her CareBear.
Thanks for hosting this. Oh the memories I have of all the toys I used to play with. I love all yours...they were my favorite. I learned how to braid with my rainbow brite's hair, LOL!
I cannot wait to start doing these posts
Too funny! We had almost the same list! I posted before I found yours! LOL! Thanks for hosting my very first FMM!
so sorry I'm such a loser! but I did it and it is up! one day late, but I live by the motto better late than never! thanks again!
It looks like I should let you and Andrea take over FMM! You both had way more visiters than I ever do! Good Job!
