Staying Afloat (35 Weeks)
35 weeks, 3 days
(Notice my belly button)
I've been trying to stay cool, and trying to stay patient. I love feeling little miss move inside of me. I love being pregnant. But lately, the pain has been excruciating and almost unbearable. I finally remembered to buy more Tylenol PM and those babies are going to carry me through the next couple weeks. (fingers crossed on the 'couple' part). My "everything" hurts so bad that I can hardly walk in the evening, during the night, and morning. Sleeping is horrible because I am so tired, yet it hurts so bad. Getting in and out of the bed is a nightmare (that happens at least 3 times per night), and turning over is just as bad. That happens more than 3 times. Like I said, beyond grateful, blessed, happy, but also in a lot of pain.
Swimming has been an absolute lifesaver for me. I haven't swam this much since I was a kid. And when I say swim, I mostly just wade around on a floatie or noodle. But sometimes I actually swim to get some exercise (that is the ONLY exercise I can handle right now). Swimming has been wonderful for me. It takes away the weight, pressure, etc. and is obviously wonderful to get a break from the heat.
It's been HOT here. Like 102-106 this week. Miserable. And you know how California has a "dry heat"? Well, it's been humid lately too. Not used to that.
Thank God for swimming.
Do you love this picture of me in the pool today? I had Tahner take a few pictures so I could remember. :) Plastic lawn chair, towel under my neck, and floatie under my feet. If only the kids weren't making so many waves, because I was seriously nodding off. :)
Meet me there tomorrow, same time, same place.
♥ Amber
P.S. More and more aches, cramps and contractions, so I am hoping they are making some progress. Keep you posted.

I meant to tell you yesterday that you look absolutely darling...and wow, it's almost time!!
I had my daughter in late August and that year we set all kinds of heat records that stand to this day. It was a miserable few weeks before she came! Glad you have the pool to keep you cool...;j
You look great! These are the hardest weeks. I kept reminding myself that I really wanted this -- I had signed up for it. But regardless, the end stinks. It's Gods funny way of getting you ready! Can't wait for her to be here!
You look just BEAUTIFUL friend!!! First thing I noticed was your belly button, mine NEVER popped! Greg always joked that the kiddos were never "done" bc they all came so early! With Cate I started contracting at 32 weeks, and by 35 they were unbearable. They checked at 36 to see if her lungs were mature, and they were...so out she came. SOOOOO excited for you!!!!! Prayers friend!!!
SUCH a great picture, so cute!!
You look great!!! It's so exciting when the end is near...not that it really helps the pain. ugh. I'll be at 39 weeks with my tiny fellow on Sunday. I can't believe how quickly it's all going. You are so lucky to have the pool handy. It's great that it helps relieve some of the pain and discomfort! Good luck in the coming weeks. :)
Look at you! So close now. Hope the next few weeks go well for you Amber!
Awe, you look so happy and beautiful despite the discomfort! Hang in there!! :)
xo
The end is definitely the worst; I was miserable the last month with all those aches and pains and NO SLEEP! Our little boy is 6 weeks now, and last night he slept for 5 and 1/2 hours, AND hubby did the late night feeding for me, so I got more sleep last night than I have in months (literally). Although my boobs were about to burst, haha!
Best of luck in these final days; you are in the home stretch--congrats!
