Week in the Life--Wednesday
Wednesday. Started out super productive, and then ended very quietly. I woke up at 5:15 when Saylor came into our room (or maybe I was already awake? I don't know). I laid in bed forever, contemplated getting up, and decided that I needed to get more sleep, even if I had to lay there forever. I'm so glad I went back to sleep. I got up at 9:00 and immediately started getting tons of stuff done. I cleaned and straightened rooms, added lots of things to a box for our church yard sale. I worked in the girls' room and edited out things that didn't belong, and I hung a pretty frame above the baby's changing table.
(The changing table is off white, the frame is white. Oy)
I took off the pretty changing pad cover to wash it, but it's that super soft pink velour one that I was talking about yesterday. I may need to tweak the frame--either the frame or my picture is a bit crooked. I quickly hung the 'E' up there, but it may or may not stay. MY top name starts with an 'E' but Tahner is not sold. We are still up in the air about her name. More on that soon.
During my super productive morning, I made a to-do list for our day. We got a lot of the things done on my list. The way I have been making my lists is by writing the errands for the day on top, and the bottom is for things around the house. If things get pushed to the next day, I'm okay with that. But I've been trying to get a lot done, and it helps to write it down so Tahner can look at it too to see what needs to be done. He's been really helpful with doing the dishes, transporting laundry, bathing Saylor (every time, we usually share). He hears, "Babe, can you do me a favor?" quite often these days.
We ran a bunch of errands, and made a lot of stops. Early on, we stopped for lunch at Wendy's. That is one of our faves lately. I can definitely say that it's one of my faves lately. I get the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and use BBQ sauce on it. Their BBQ sauce is the best. I'm pretty sure we had this on Saturday, and I mentioned it in that post. Told you I like it.
I pulled out the camera to snap some pictures, and we got some really, really good pictures. We even used the timer feature because Maddie suggested a family picture. The girls ended up having a really good time with it. Especially Saylor. She loved setting it and then running back to us. :)
I got all of my errands done, but I'm not gonna say it was exactly fun for everyone. I felt kind of bad because Tahner was basically my chauffeur and the girls got a little antsy with errands. Lots of picking and bickering. :) I put on a Princess CD that we made for Saylor's birthday party as favors. That worked for a bit. At Babies R Us they headed out b/c Tahner was frustrated, and when I got in Saylor was in the back, and Maddie where Saylor usually sits. :) We were at Babies R Us because I needed to exchanged my nightgown for a bigger size to make it longer. I also bought a super cute light switch cover for the girls' room that I'd wanted yesterday, but had forgotten my coupon.
(More crooked picture taking)
After we got home, I started on packaging a couple Etsy orders. Both items were glass so it took a little extra time and care to get them packaged securely. By the time I got them done, I had to rest. I was really starting to feel tired. Once rested, I ran to the post office to get them off before closing. By the time I got back, I was completely exhausted. I rested on the couch for awhile while the family went to church. I haven't been going the last few Wednesdays because I am just so tired. Evenings are really hard for me. I feel super badly because we are the youth pastors right now. Also, I think I am going to close my Etsy shop pretty soon until after the baby comes and we're settled. It's just getting so hard for me.
I was able to pace myself and get a couple things done. I put on that pretty new light switch cover in the girls' room. I put the sheets and stuff back into the bassinet since I washed everything up last night. It looks so pretty.
Our room is super duper tiny. Teeny tiny. It's definitely NOT ideal, but we're making it work. This area shown is currently Tahner's side of the bed. After the baby comes (and I hopefully don't have to pee 6 times per night) I will switch sides with him. Then she'll be right there beside me. ♥
Totally off the subject, but I've been looking around for a cool night light app for my late night nursing sessions with the babe. I want one that stays on until I close it. Do any of you have one that you recommend?
Also I told you yesterday about how we got the car seat delivered. We didn't quite get it installed, but it's out of the box. Here are a couple pictures. It's a dark charcoal grey with fushcia pink accents. It has a beautiful damask print. I love it because it's not too girly. I'm quite the girly girl, but for some reason I'm not really a fan of car seats that have like owls or tulips and such on them. I didn't like any of the ones that I'd seen in the stores, but I found this one at Target.com. And it was free shipping. Perfection.
The rest of our evening has been very low key. I am beyond exhausted today for some reason, and having lots of aches and cramping. Matter of fact, I'm currently having a mild, but substantial contraction. We go in the morning for my rescheduled appointment. We'll see if he checks me for any progress. I kind of have a feeling he won't do anything but measure me and it will be a short appointment. I have a couple questions to ask him, so I'll let you know how it goes.
I did manage to make some dinner with Tahner's help and this is what we had....
(taken on my iPhone)
Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo.
Yummy.
Thanks for reading!

You have been super busy girlfriend! Oh my!! I know it feels good to get things checked off the list before the baby arrives. Hope you are finding some time to rest.
If you find a nighlight app, let me know! I feel like a crazy woman during the night, trying to find light so that I can nurse, while not waking anyone. I usually go out to the living room and turn on the tv, so it's not super bright, but I would love to know of a good app so that I can hopefully stay in bed with Miss Taylor!
Also, you look fantastic, as usual! And I LOVE the carseat. LOVE!
that carseat is pretty!!
and i love the bassinet
