Weekend Catch Up! & Baby Goods

I really have to quit leaving my blogging until the evenings. I'm always so tired that I put it off. And then I never get around to it. I wanted to share about our weekend, and now here it is Tuesday night. So I'll just smoosh the last few days into this post.

I had a great weekend.

Saturday I went to yard sales with my mom. That was probably my last yard sale day for awhile. Thankfully our yard sales go on forever. We go to yard sales way into the fall. Anyhow, I hadn't gone to yard sales for a few weeks because of the heat and it was just getting so hard for me. Well, the weather was so nice last week, that I decided to go one last time. The high for the day was 89 so it was great that morning. I wanted to find a few more things that I needed for the baby, and thankfully I was able to do just that.

I needed a couple more blankets, and I was able to get these three. They are so soft and in such great condition. I got this little mirror and few toys. I was on the lookout for the mirror that goes on the back of the car seat, but it's still a mirror! I also got a couple cute hooded towels, toys, outfits and a JJ Cole diaper/wipe case. It matches a binky holder that I had with Saylor.

After yard sales, I'd set up to look at a stroller off of Craigslist. It was in a nearby town, so we went as a family to check it out. It wasn't perfect because the car seat won't fit in it, and there is a small tear in the plastic window, but it is a really great stroller. It's a Jeep stroller, in (almost) new condition. And it was only $35. The baby won't be in a car seat forever, and these strollers are just so great to maneuver. They're Tahner's favorite. I don't have a picture (and it's too late to get one) but here's a similar one:

Saturday afternoon I took Saylor to get a haircut. She has only had it cut once before, and she LOVED it. She actually asks all the time! Everytime I go, I have to sneak out, or else she will want hers cut too. I only had them cut off a couple inches to get rid of dead ends and shorten it up a bit. Thankfully, she still has her beautiful curls.

After the hair cut, Saylor and I went to Target together to get a few things. It was a really special treat for me. This may be the last time that I spend one on one time with her. Up until summer, I spent so much time with Saylor, and it was good to get a little more. My baby isn't going to be the baby anymore. Each one will always be my baby, of course, but she won't be the baby anymore.
Last weekend Maddison and I were able to spend a great afternoon together, so I'm glad I got a little time with Saylor too.

Sunday evening we went to pick up my biggest and best purchase for this little miss. I've been wanting a nice glider for years. Y.e.a.r.s. I mean, since I had Maddie. Too bad it took me until baby number 3 to finally get a good one. When we went to Babies R Us last week, Tahner & I sat in a lot of the gliders, and I really just didn't want to get up! The ones there are so comfortable. My ultimate dream glider was the one that reclines, and the foot rest that glides too. But the prices are so high! Well, I found one on Craigslist! It was listed for $250 and I offered the girl $150 as a shot in the dark. She said she'd think about it and let me know. While I waited, I realized that a brand new cheap one at say, Walmart is usually $199. So that wasn't a very fair offer. Especially considering that this one was a Shermag Deluxe, which typically runs for $350 for the chair and $150 for the footrest. She came back that it was a little too low, so I offered $200. She agreed! So Sunday Tahner & I headed to another nearby town 30 minutes away to check out the chair.

LOVE. Love, love love. I've never been more in love with a chair. It's a dark wood, with a clean, comfy neutral fabric. Everything is in excellent condition, and the instructions and paperwork were even included. I feel so blessed to get such a great deal on something that I've wanted forever. I will use this chair SO much.  I always tell a story about breastfeeding when Saylor was young. I used to just prop myself up in bed with pillows and lean back. One night I was so incredibly tired that I woke myself up by smacking my head on the wall. Not fun! Now I can rest, and even recline while nursing the little babe.

Tahner snapped these pictures at my grandmother's house before we left to get the chair. The girls wanted to stay and play at grandmas. :)  36 weeks, 5 days.

Tahner called this my sexy, come hither face, lol.

We finally took some maternity pictures today! They turned out so great. I'll share tomorrow!
And I'm officially full term, 37 weeks!

I also have updates around the house, a few more baby goodies I got today,
and some awesome gifts from blog friends! ♥
